Encouraging Education There are many reasons we can say that education in America is leaving behind children of all ages who are struggling to pay attention. Parents send their Children to school and leave it all to the teachers to teach them everything they need to know before they head out to college to seek a higher degree. Once we graduate from high school, we begin to develop responsibility and realize that having a higher education is quite needed today to leave a legacy in this world. In Evie Blad’s article “Remedial-class spending down”, he states how students are struggling with completing a higher educational degree. When discussing education in the article he argues, “Some students must repeat remedial classes multiple times to earn a grade that is high enough to continue on the traditional courses, and those academic struggles reduce their chances of completing a degree” (Blad). Being parents is more than just a role; and we only want the best for them to succeed. One important reason is that we want them to go to college, therefore gain a career. Parents sometimes do not see that their actions and words can affect their child’s education since the first learning they receive is at home. If we do not do anything to help them it can consequently lead their leaning skills to a lower level and get them held back. This comes back to teaching them at an early age, what is less significant to what is more significant in education. We need to instruct them to set goals, how to keep them, and how to pursue them. Instead of preparing students for college, it’s preparing them for an unsuccessful life. If we show our kids the importance of education in advance, they will have in mind that education comes first in this world and that time is now. As Americans, we need to sit and think about the significance of higher education. We should focus on what is right for the generations to come, so they can become successful. If we work together as a country hand in hand, we can build a better tomorrow for students until they reach the goal. Higher education is necessary because investing towards a degree is well worth.
