The belief that I will be analysing come from the catholic faith tradition. Catholics believe that Jesus the son of god who was sent to earth to save mankind from their sins is both fully human and both fully divine. We know that Jesus is fully human because of evidence from the bible Jesus was born like any other human and also died like any other human. Jesus' birth of the virgin Mary was a normal human birth. Jesus took on a human form when he was incarnated. Jesus showed his ability to feel pain and suffering just as any other human would. Stories in the gospel about Good Friday highlight Jesus' humanity as he is sentenced to death. There are a reliable source of Jesus nature. The Nicene creed written in the council of Nicaea also tells us about Jesus' human nature. The creed states the son of god came down to earth and was made man. However, Jesus was also fully divine. Evidence for Jesus' divinity is also found within the New Testament. When he was conceived by Mary she was a virgin at the time, so he could only have been conceived to the power of God. Jesus tells us that he is part of the Trinity one God three god Heads. He is equal with god the father and the Holy Spirit. Throughout the New Testament the gospel of Jesus perform a miracle. As a divine Jesus could only perform miracles if he was truly divine. Jesus is referred to as Lord throughout the gospels and in the creek the title the catechism states "the title Lord indicates divine sovereignty, to confess or invoke Jesus as lord is to believe in his divinity." Even the name "Jesus" translates to God saves. This relates to Jesus' mission to save his people from their sins. Jesus' title "the son of God" and the passage from the Creed "the only begotten son of God" tells us that Jesus is truly divine. the Creed also states that Jesus is consubstantial with the father. his divinity is on the same level as the
