Study of the sample is going to have a strong influence on our work. The ethical engagement is for the researcher to use sample appropriate to the work. How prior researchers use the research sample in their work? Vesterinen, Isola, Suhonen, Laukkala (2013) used a questionnaire based on a leadership model in the study of nurses managers role and leadership. The questionnaire was evaluated by a panel of 6 experts and the response alternatives followed a 4 point Likert scale. The target population was the all registered nurse managers in Finland Data base database (equivalent to n=1317). 63% responded to the questionnaire. The responses were analyzed using the SPSS software.
Spiri (2013) used a phenomenological approach to study the meaning of evidence- based management in Brazil. The sample participant included all senior nurse leaders in public institutions, accredited health care organization. Private interviews were also conducted to assess the meaning of EBP for Nurse Managers.
