I am glad you brought up that faculty needs to be “competent” in Evidence Based Practice (EBP). I had the opportunity to work for a college as a Clinical Adjunct Instructor (CAI). In doing so, CAI were required to monitor, teach, and be available for questions in the clinical lab prior to going to sites. I had a hard time adjusting to the skills check off list due to some of the skills were not up to date such as Foley catheter insertions. When I brought this to their attention including providing EBP literature. I was informed they would continue with the same skills check off for the semester and look at changing it for the next. I understood changing something you have been doing in the middle of a semester is difficult, however,
