Evidence based practice is the conscientious use of current best evidence in making decisions about client/ patient care. Social Workers use evidence based practice to assess the data and research of successful treatment. Evidence based practice provides social workers with successful evidence to share accurate data with the client to make a more informed decision about what is best to aid the client. This paper will discuss evidence-based practice and why it is important to social workers. A well as several criticisms of the evidence-based approach and my opinion on each criticism. The last portion of the paper will evaluate evidence based practice in special needs adoption and will discuss the extent of evidence-based support. I will review
