The focus of nursing practice is moving from compounded set of theories towards evidenced based research work which can easily be proved and incorporated into nursing practice."Evidence-based nursing de-emphasizes ritual, isolated, and unsystematic clinical experiences and ungrounded opinions and traditions as the basis for" (Penz & Bassendowski, 2006, p. 255).
