Throughout my life, going to college has always been what I have strived for. Both of my parents grew up in homes with many kids and not a sufficient amount of money. They strived for everything they earned and made sure my brother and I grew up knowing how lucky we are. They taught us to help those in need, accept others for who they are, and be thankful for all that we have. The way my parents raised me allowed me to become more open-minded towards others. I feel I would be a good addition to the Colorado University of Boulder community because of my upbringing. I believe that everyone should experience learning and no one should be excluded for any reason. Everyone should be allowed to learn no matter what their circumstances are.
