Before Everyman went on his journey he comes to the realization that he doesn’t want to die alone so he goes to his friends for help. First, he goes to his closest friend Fellowship to ask if he will join him on his journey. But Fellowship tells him, “Whether ye have loved me or no, by Saint John, I will not thee go,”(Anonymous,1485). When he goes to his friends he tells them that he wants them all to come along on the journey with him. Everyman tells death that he is not ready to die yet. Then, Everyman moves on to his friend he believes will definitely accompany him on his journey to death and that friend is Cousin.
