First factor of different ideals might be the receive of different kinds of education. For example, in fifty years ago, Taiwan’s education was all based on the ability of testing, but schools after 2010s began to set a different standards, such as students with some excellent performance in extracurricular activities could also enter a good college. For instance, most of my classmates are playing online computer games. In a case, I know a friend of mine whose father strongly opposed to video games, but he continued to play and told his father of his ignorance in modern world’s fashion. This trend in playing online games also led to the other factor, technology.
The last factor is technology. Through entering 21th century, many different technologies like smart phones, I-pads, or computers becomes popular. These different facilities also brought us a more convenient life that unknown words could be looked up in electronic dictionaries and e-books also became used by people. One support evidence is that everyone in our class has own smartphones and one of my friend even reads e-books on his Kindle. Despite these convenience technologies, my mom often wanted me to look up words on the thick dictionaries instead of typing words in a dictionary
