Everyday Ambassador Reflective Essay

Reading the book Everyday Ambassador by Kate Otto changed my life for the better. The book had gave me a whole new, entirely different approach on how to view the world, to lead with better direction, and to make new relations and connect with the people around me and in my community. I was really happy that Kent State University chose this book for the common reading discussion, because it was such a thrill to read it and relate to some of the experiences in the book.

On the topic of Prompt 1: While reading the book Everyday Ambassador, I had discovered that the 4 main key values of being an Everyday Ambassador had summed up into the following. Focus, Empathy, Humility, and Patience. That’s what being an Everyday Ambassador means. Let’s

What this means is that the Everyday Ambassadors could have a new way of being able to spread the word of asking for volunteering or events. Actions that would rather take a big effort to spread the word out to the same crowd.

Prompt 3: For me, defining success means setting a goal for yourself, and reaching that goal. Being successful and how you can define it greatly differs from person to person. But to me, if you have set plans and are able to reach them, go for it! Because anything is possible, anything can be accomplished. Being an Everyday Ambassador can also help you find success. It will help you with the means of taking the four key values of being an Everyday Ambassador and applying them to your everyday life.

Prompt 4: Being an Everyday Ambassador to me means that I’m embodying the four values in me and my everyday life. I had an awakening reading the book because I realized that I could apply these moment to most parts of my life. I was an Everyday Ambassador before I even knew it, and to me that shows me that I’ve been doing some good with my life.
