The right to health care is a human right, the declaration of Independence says all men have “unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness” which could mean that the right to healthcare is the right to life and the right to the pursuit of happiness. Also, the cost of healthcare could be lowered overall if everybody had the right to healthcare due to the lowered administrative and prescription drug costs. The right to health care will also improve the overall public health mainly because everybody will have access to basic medical care . The number of illnesses will decrease because everybody in the community will have the opportunity to receive the same health care, there is no fear that of it being unaffordable. Everybody being provide with health care is good economically, people with healthcare live healthier lives and tend to miss less days of work. The University of Colorado and Pennsylvania did a study that showed that people with health insurance missed an average of 4.7 less days of work that those who did not have health insurance. ”World Bank President Jim Yong Kim stated that all nations should provide a right to health care "to help foster economic growth" this is true because with health insurance the number of premature deaths and sicknesses will decrease.
