Every Soul a Star is one of the great works written by Wendy Mass, published by Little, Brown and Company. It is entitled, Every Soul a Star because it talks about how the cosmos may change the lives of three different teenagers forever. The title fits the contents of the book because the setting was made under the stars and the main characters were stargazing in the story. There was this total eclipse of the sun, which were waited by thousands of people who love astronomy. Every Soul a Star explains that for those people who are involved in the story, they’ve spent their lives witnessing how the universe, which is made of zillions of stars made something worth seeing for. The author Wendy Mass is the New York Times bestselling author of books for teenagers. Her works are divided into three categories, her standalone books which involve 8 books and Every Soul a Star is included there, the Willow Falls Series which is her most famous works, and the Twice Upon a Time series which involves 3 books all about teenagers’ lives. Compared to the other novels of Wendy Mass, Every Soul a Star differs from them because it tackles about how the things in the universe may relate in the lives of three 13-year olds and all the people included in the story. She, together with her twin daughter and son, her husband and their cat lives in New Jersey. The author’s goal is to reach the farthest edge of the universe to keep the readers alive too, and with the lives of the main characters that are forever changed, Every Soul a Star is not all about science-related stuff but she made sure that the readers might learn many things from
