What would be the best way to honor 16 million war veterans? The United States choose to build an everlasting WWII memorial to honor those and their families who gave there life for this country and our freedom. Imagine if these men did not risk their lives and just did not care and we didn't win the war the world would be a mess and people would be telling us what to for everything in life.
In 1987 a WWII Veteran approached Representative Marcy Kaptur a democrat from Ohio to ask to build a WWII memorial. She took it to the House of Representative and then they made it real and they established it and start to build it in Washington DC.
