This time of the year was complicated, everybody was preparing for the Holidays and with the winter break approaching, the hiring in her field went stale. So now, she was looking for a gig until she laid her dream job.

It was a one-year contract with the possibility of extension. It was for some sort of research about crystals and although she was not a geologist, she had studied the discipline during her graduate studies.
