Everett is standing in the kitchen, dressed up. He is getting ready for his date when he asks Courtney, “Do you think Helga is a scrumptious Saint-Emilion or a bubbly chardonnay ?” Everett calmly asks this question, as if it has been rehearsed many times before. He also seems to be very comfortable mentioning Helga to his roommate, showing this is an easy subject. Later on in the movie, he smoothly asks his roommates, “Do you think Debbie is a seductive pinot noir or a nutty cabernet?” Everett asks about a girl again, and no one raises an eyebrow. Monty goes out for a jog on a snowy morning and Everett sits in his studio. Everett spoke smoothly into the microphone, “It’s seven a.m. children… Arise fair Harvard! Arise!” Everett attempts to get the students up this morning through his show. He did not break a sweat when he was speaking to thousands of students. Everett neither stutters nor has nothing to stay. He stayed completely calm as he talks to the masses. Later on in the studio, Everett invited Simon to join him for a talk. They are both enjoying a bottle of red wine and are talking casually. Everett goes on air and calmly tells his listeners, “It’s the ides of March and to celebrate, we have a guest.” Everett talks and interviews with Simon. This calls for friendliness and kindness. Everett talks with and about someone to many people listening and does not seem to be bothered at all. He invited Simon onto the show and just talked to him with the calm and rehearsed sounding tone.
