The 1990s marked the finish not only of an era but also a millennium. The decade running up to the year 2000 saw a lot of adjustment and anticipation, with many important events that molded not only the 1990s but our lives since then. That change transpired in every way you can imagine – civically, technically, and socially. With about 5.5 billion people in the world, the year 1994 in America was a year marked by the chaotic case of O.J. Simpson, heartbreak over Ronald Reagan's Alzheimer’s, and the changes in television with the hit sitcom Friends. America came up and peaked with an economic boom, providing 2.3 million jobs, however, global warming had become a major threat. Many political events occurred in 1994. On February third, our forty-second President Bill Clinton declares the lifting of the 19-year-old trade restriction against Vietnam. After he retired, O.J. became a broadcaster, actor, and a television pitchman, but he also became something no one would have ever imagined, a murderer (Woods 46). O.J. was a prime suspect for the stabbings of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend who was returning a pair of sunglasses to her on the night of June 12th.
