Evelyn Jackson, a beloved teacher at Centreville High School, has passed away at age 79. Jackson's death was due to natural causes. Albert Munson, the principle of Centerville high school shared some of his thoughts. "She was inspiring. She brought the books we read to life. She made these writers relevant to our own lives, whether it was Hawthorne or Hemingway." Alice Farmington, a former student also spoke high of her "Mrs. Jackson inspired me to become an English teacher," In Evelyn Jackson's career she received 5 teacher of the year awards, and inspired many. She will be missed.
