In the story Young Goodman Brown, Goodman brown in some ways parallels the character Eve in the book of genesis. Eve is tempted by the devil, and by her falling for his wicked ways she is revealed truths about the world that changed the way people think and live forever. She is kicked out of the Garden of Eden because, she disobeyed God’s orders to not eat from the devil’s tree. This is known as the fall of man. Just like how Goodman Brown is revealed wicked insights into his life after the forest his life was changed for the worst. All faith is lost for Goodman Brown after he leaves the forest. He views the world in a completely different light after the devil revealed his darkness to him. He even becomes suspicious of his own wife. In this
