“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” This quote was once stated by Walt Disney. This quote is saying that anyone’s dream can come true if they have the determination to put the effort to make it happen. Everyone who has a dream should not give up on it, even if it doesn't happen right. Eve Bunting wrote a great story that shows the aspects on working hard to achieve your dream. The short story “Fly Away Home”,shows determination and bravery.The story was about a family who could not afford to rent an apartment to live in. They had many other people who lived in a similar situation as Andrew. People that could not afford a home lived in the airport, they were always moving so that they would not get caught. These families were happy that they had a shelter to protect them, instead of having to live on the streets. …show more content…

From the bird to andrew the both characters show how they will not give up.Andrew starts to get mad but cautiously he begins to raise money and become mature and more responsible on how to help his family and his friends.Andrew believed in his dad that they would find an apartment with the right price for them.The story “Fly Away Home”, shows bravery and determination through the obstacles Andrew faces and he learnt the lesson to not give up through the goals he has set for himself.Andrew knows and hopes that one day he and his family and friends will get a home one
