“A Failed Attempt”

The positive things happened amid Johnnie's shared the gospel with Toya were: (1) he seized the opportunity to fulfill the Great Commission, regardless of the possibility that he didn't get remarkable success; (2) he presented a number of questions; (3) He shared his own story and convictions; and (4) He expressed gratitude for Toya’s time.
There were a vast number of negative things occurred and they are:
a. Johnnie was not legitimately prepared to deal with unfavorable reactions, he utilized the vital standards of pre-evangelism (better connect with individuals, put others at ease and demonstrate the art of a good listener in the conversational evangelism).
b. He presented strong emphasis on his beliefs and allowed his emotions to set the stage and not recount the most astounding story of God's love and redemptive plan for man.
c. Johnnie didn't inquire about Toya to share her story or experience. Individuals are more open to share in a dialogue when the feel of a sense of caring and understanding God’s redemptive plans for humanity. His time of taking part in a conversational evangelism was not very effective. …show more content…
David and Norman Geisler brings out a very valid fact and they states, “We may also have to break the bad habit of focusing on what we want to say next rather than listening to what the other person is saying. In doing so, we may misread them and miss hearing something that could have been helpful in our dialogue with them”
