The information about the ten meetings, as well as the information where I based this paragraph is found in the work of Davis et al. (2009). The first meeting is to introduce the participants to the members, leader, information packets and the resource room that is available to the participants. During this phase, the participants will develop their goals for the program, learn about their success stories, and talk about their own stories. The second meeting is to talk about suicide preventions, teaching the participants about intimate partner violence (IPV), and the activity is for the participants to create a survival kit. The third meeting is to teach the participant safety planning for suicidal behavior, IPV, and the activity tries to have the participants create a safety plan that they can adapt it to different circumstances. The following six meets are paired together because they are developed based on the Theory of Triadic Influence. Meeting four and five aims to reduce the participant intrapersonal risk factor while enhancing intrapersonal protective factors. Meeting six and seven aims to reduce social and situational risk factor and how to enhance social situational protective factors. The three domains that the website is referring to is the three “stream of influences” that I previously mentioned above. The name Grady Nia Project is created with cultural considerations. The word “Nia”, means “purpose” in Kwanzaa. So, the Grady Nia Project can be translated to Grady Purpose Project to express that every woman has a purpose in life. Also, mentioned above is, the ten meetings that the Grady Nia Project created for their participants to increase their coping skills. The first three meetings are to provide information about intimate partner violence (IPV) & suicide and safety planning that participants can use to address these issues. The next six meetings focus more on reducing risk and increasing protective factors using the three “stream of influence” from the TTI, which I will go into further details in the following
