Yes. Ethical rigor was present in the study. Participants was given Id numbers and survey response was not linked to participants names or email addresses. Participating in the survey is voluntary (Lipkis-Orlando et al., 2016).

Are the conclusion and implication appropriate and clearly stated?
No, the conclusion was not clearly stated. However, the article states the result of the SPDPB survey assess staff perception of DBP and can be use to identify areas of concern in clinical, educational and leadership areas related to DBP. The new survey can be use to evaluate intervention and create benchmark in other areas in health care. The scale can be use to develop and guide policy in a health care organization with consideration of both staff members and patient rights (Lipkis-Orlando et al., 2016).

Yes, the implication for future practice was stated by expanding the use of the survey tool with other health care providers, patients, and their family. The scale can also be used to monitor efficiency of the intervention with patients, staff, and their care environment within the three frameworks (Lipkis-Orlando et al., 2016).

The impacts of an incident of aggression to both staff the consumer and to other patients within the facility includes not only the physical injuries that may result from an act of aggression but also the emotional trauma, stress and anxiety that may be the cause of ongoing mental health issues for all concerned (Irwin, 2006). This paper has critically discussed the topic of aggression, it prediction, prevention and management in the mental health care setting and its relevance to contemporary nursing practice and found that although there may be limited evidence for some of the more traditional techniques of seclusion and chemical restraint of the consumer, evidence based practices are now being incorporated into regular systems of risk assessment and de-escalation approaches of aggression minimisation and management to the benefit of staff and the…
