Although one type of device should tarnish the company’s reputation, I can’t help but raise concern on my future purchases on any electronic especially since their mobile department is their most profitable sector of the entire organization. Again, I propose to stop the production of the Galaxy Note 7 because its many customers like myself that are hesitant to spend our money on the brand product because reliability has become an issue of concern. As a result, I want to discuss a few strategies to accomplish the proposed solution of stopping production in order to restore the company reputation. The first step I would recommend is for Samsung to re-define as an organization what quality and excellence looks like for Samsung. Perform an analysis of the market and its current technologies along with an assessment of the Samsung electronics definition and strategize a new action plan for production quality and reliability. The second step I recommend Samsung to do is to re-design the product. In this case, go back to the drawing board and find out what exactly went wrong. As previously mentioned in the proposed solutions section of this case study after the recall, the company realized it wasn’t the battery isn’t the issue.
