Therefore, working in these specialized facilities, I see many life changing events that the commonplace layperson would never see even once in their lifetime. In reality, it reflects my fire department job. In the emergency department, I am notorious for my “calmness” which I attribute to my preparation from never knowing what the next call may bring. In the chain of command, RNs are in charge of LPNs. Most of the time I work with full-time personnel and they are typically the nurses in charge since they are there on a more consistent basis.
