Evaluating The Emotions In Danny's Book, Summer Ball

Many things stand in the way of success, in this book Summer Ball Danny must clear many hurdles to get to his goal. In this book Danny is at a summer camp for Basketball, and has already been told by has coach that he should switch sports, when basketball as been his passion since forever. Danny is not a very bad kid or a troublemaker, but in these past chapters he has been doing things he should not be doing and is not making any new friends doing it. At one point in this book he even tried to fake a injury to leave the camp. There are many things that could happen but what happens next is up to Danny. This is what Danny has been waiting for all spring. I feel like it is because Danny has been under a lot of pressure not only by other campers that a better than him but the coaching staff. How would you feel if your coach came up to you and told you this wasn’t the sport for you and it has been your passion your whole life. When Danny’s dad found out about the injury he was livid, and told him if he kept doing things like this don’t come home. Not only the fake injury, but when he found out that his friend Tess was across the lake at her uncles he decided to go there even though he knew he could get in trouble. In the first encounter with the counselors Danny and his friends made an excuse that got them out of it. However later the head coach/ counselor found out what actually happened and Danny and his friends were suspended for two games.
