According to Grove, Gray & Burns (2014), Systematic Review is a kind of quantitative studies with a structured, comprehensive synthesis that can be used in a particular healthcare area. This method can determine the best research evidence available for expert clinicians to use to promote an evidence-based practice. It also can decrease the bias and increase the strength of evidence (Matthews, 2017).
Expert Opinion is also one of the methods for evaluating evidence. Compare to Systematic Review, Expert Opinion provides weaker evidence results and may increase the bias (Matthews, 2017). However, in some situations, the expert opinion can provide fairly evidence to support the research when the current evidence of the research is inadequate (Grove, Gray & Burns, 2014). In addition, Expert Opinion can be the source of Knowledge to aid the research. Both ways can help to evaluate evidence and provide the validity of the evidence. …show more content…
