I currently have no experience in program evaluation. Evaluations have been around for centuries and are used for different purposes. According to Westat (2010), the concept of evaluation has been around since 2000 B.C. Furthermore, Westat contends that evaluation clarifies what works and why. There are several types of evaluations. Many of us are familiar with evaluations related to job performance; however, we are focusing on evaluations concerning program evaluation and project evaluation. The critical concept of evaluation is to decide the relevance of programs or projects. The results of these evaluations are valuable pieces of information to stakeholders because they are looking for results that figure out if programs are successful.
