Evaluating Critical Thinking Essay

• This week I read my lecture Evaluating Professional writing. Reading this lecture helps me to share thoughts with my classmates and prepared me for a better answer. This week I used critical thinking because the midterm assignment required to do it. It was a little hard but am here to practice and learn as much as I can. I speak to different languages and it’s hard for me to learn new requirements of writing a paper. Having the knowledge of writing in two different cultures is a challenge for me but am a quick learner. The interactions with the instructor is great, she is always there to help. The interaction with classmates is pretty fun and interesting but there is one student that respond to others like she is a teacher and I don’t like

Critical Thinking is the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment. A time using critical thinking is when I enrolled into school after being out of school for some years. Feeling apprehensive about taking courses online for the first time, I did not know what to expect or did not know if was able to complete the assignments. During this semester of English W131, I have experienced both accomplishments and setbacks while learning how to improve my writing skills. Throughout the course, I have learned that writing is not only about how much information is in the paper, but also about how well the writer’s thoughts are expressed throughout the text. Practicing many different styles of writing as I did in the class has helped me tremendously with my delivery in my writing. I believe that this course was one to prepare us for future writing courses with professors we will encounter who will give us feedback that may puzzle us because it will require more work and more thinking. Although I have had difficulty in the class, I do believe that I have learned from my mistakes and that I am finishing the course with stronger writing skills that will help me though the rest of my college career and life.…

I started my journey through writing this year a bundle of nerves and a stomach full of coffee. This is my first year taking an advanced English course, but I was determined to do well. There has been no sleeping in class or slacking off this year, I’m lucky enough to take a college course a year early and at a better price, and I’m not going to waste it. I’ve learned a lot this semester, including but not limited to: identifying how exactly the author’s purpose and audience determines effective writing, developing pieces of writing though a process of planning, revising, and drafting, compose an organized essay with clear points and main ideas, used appropriate tone and formality, critiqued writing, and finally how to grasp the MLA format. My writing has improved through the concepts I have learned this semester.…

In the first perspective it explains that you, as a person should focus on self improvement and become more self reliant. I honestly think as an opinion you would need to keep boosting people's spirits instead of being self centered because you don't want to make them feel good. Everyone has their own traits, personality, and characteristics, but if you don't care about other people, it shows you that you are careless about the good people on this earth. A strength of the first perspective is that you can get things accomplished and succeed in goals in your lifetime.…

I wrote an article on this before but it’s so important to me I need to speak up about it again. The same article managed to make its way back on my Facebook feed and I am seriously worried people are buying into this stigma. Here is the article that has been floating around the internet and in my opinion is contributing to the stigma surrounding mental illness:…

Society has set a standard for high school graduates to complete their education through attendance of a university. Personally I aimed to fulfill that standard by attending the second largest university in the state. When applying to the University of Central Florida, applicants were given the opportunity to prove to the reader that they are a respectable, independent, and well-rounded student in around 500 words or less. Which, because there is so much to talk about yet we are restricted by the limited word count, can be a strain for some students. I was determined to make the most out of my opportunity and deliver the best essay to the University.…

This English class has been very helpful in my efforts to improve my writing abilities, but has also been very challenging due to there being a different median for every essay. It’s been a heavy work load especially this semester since I decided to enroll in five classes, but in the end it has been very beneficial indeed. I can’t say that writing essays has been one of my strong points but I believe that this course has helped me improve tremendously and it has also made me feel a lot more comfortable with my writing. While in high school I would usually write all of my essays a day before the due date a habit of mine that was very difficult to overcome, but now I have learned from my mistakes.…
