Evaluating Crime Scene

How I would photograph the crime scene, would first be to secure the scene. I would make sure all the evidence of the body, any article of clothing, shell castings, weapons of guns or other evidence that is at this scene, is secure and in its natural state. Then I would evaluate the crime scene conditions. Since this crime scene is outside, I would evaluate the available light and weather conditions and I would adjust the camera setting to the appropriately. No single camera setting will work for this crime scene, since it’s outside. I would shoot the scene next. I want to take photographs of the scene before any evidence will be destroyed or disturbed. I would use wide-angle shots to cover the whole scene from an approach and through every area. I will take close-up images of evidence that aren’t taken out of their context. I will take the photographs from looking up from the scene to capturing any evidence or any environmental factors that could be above the scene, but in this case the crime scene will be around, so I will go from ground to where the body was found. Next I will photograph the victims, to show their location on where they lay, any injuries on the body, and their condition. I will photograph any evidence that is at the crime scene. Each evidence that I find, I will illustrate where I found it. I will established any relationships that the evidence have to the victim, and where the victim lays. I will take photographs of the victim by taking them from straight above to straight on the right angles, eliminating any potential distance distortions. With each piece of evidence, I will incorporated a scale to indicate the size and without the scale. I will use evidence markers. With every photographs that I take, I will take the photographs with and without evidence
