Mrs. Messing reports she has blurred vision since the auto accident. She wants to be evaluated by her Optometry provider. An appointment was made on 2/20/17 I contacted the adjuster Ms. Blodgette with this update, I advised her of the travel and mileage to this appointment. I was given approval to attend. On 3/3/17 I met Ms. Messing and her husband at the office of Dr. Messing. Ms. Messing was wearing a soft cervical collar. She still leans her neck forward. She is able to sit and stand. She walks with the walker. Her husband is at her side when she walks, sits or stands. She reports having pain in her neck and back. When it becomes severe she will take 2 Tylenols and lay down. She reports she is sleeping much better. She will get up at least once to …show more content…
In Dr. Messing opinion, her cataracts are a little worse. He reports that age and or trauma could cause them to progress, but he cannot say for sure if it is auto related. Her cataracts are not at the surgical stage yet. Her Macular scan actually was improved. He noticed that her blink rate is diminished, which can be related to the Parkinson’s so he is adding an over the counter eye drop. He feels this may help with some blurred vision. Her eye glasses were set for a longer distance since she was still working so they will adjust that, and also change her lens strength a bit to help her until she is able to have the cataract surgery. The determination was made that there was nothing related to the auto accident. Mr. and Ms. Messing were advised that nothing recommended would be under auto but would be their responsibility to pay for. I also called Gail per her request to update her on the appointment and the outcome. I have advised Gail, Mr. and Ms. Messing that I would not be attending the appointment with Dr. Graziano on 3/16/17. I will speak with Gail after the appointment. I have requested that she obtain a current replacement service, attendant
