Evaluate Life They Lived So Far

Improved Essays
As individuals grow older they start to evaluate the life they have lived so far. They may start regretting aspects of their life or feel like they have not accomplished much success in their life so far. This may lead individuals to develop poor coping skills or become socially isolated. This group is designed for members to reminisce about experiences that will bring back a sense of meaning to their lives and a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, most activities in the group are designed for members to self reflect and express their inner emotions that may be bottled up inside them. These goals would be inappropriate for individuals who are not motivated and do not have adequate self awareness.

Second inquiry and assessment: as the individual’s lifestyle and goals are more evident during the therapeutic process; the counselor might explore participants’ functioning within the family and society. According to this approach, the counselor must assess clients through techniques like early recollections, family constellation, birth order, relationship difficulties, dreams, and goals as well. During the recall of information, the counselor might find some of the misconceptions made by the students. Fabricated or impossible goals, confusion of one’s life, minimizations of the facts and defective values. During this stage, the counselor must incorporate and summarize the data collected and analyze the mistaken notions of the students in order to help them to set rational goals (Corey, 2013).…

We use our five senses to perceive something as real, to a certain extent, but our thoughts, our beliefs, and our personal experiences usually tend to come between reality and the actual truth. We usually ask questions or people for advice and we tend to believe what others tell us.…

It will look at themes which have played out during our most recent trip to campus, namely subgroups formed, as well as the difference in anxiety levels between the foundation and concentration groups and the behaviors that were demonstrated. Next it will identify and discuss instances of here-and-now moments within the groups and consider the process commentary that we saw emerge and reflect on possible meanings for it. Finally it will depict how the groups illustrated the concepts of…
