Kensington is four years old and is a preschooler. She reported she enjoys her school activities and has developed friends.
During the home visit the evaluator interviewed the child without the mother. Kensington stated that both parents say mean things about the other parent. She indicated that she would like her parents to live together. She finds the schedule of going back and forth to be an ongoing problem.
Kensington reported that she feels sad that her parents aren’t together and don’t like each other. She is unable to give examples, but clearly has developed a sense of the parents not liking each other.

Kensington reported that her mother wants her to have something at night, but her father doesn’t want her to use it. She indicated that her mother tells her to hide the object.
When she comes to NY she goes to school but she wants to be with dad. The child reported that she doesn’t like the food in New York school. She tells dad. The children are nice in NY, as are the teachers.
Kensington reported that her mother doesn’t like her father. She indicated that a long time ago when she was born her father decided to live here in NY and her mother said she didn’t want the father to stay in Florida.
Daddy likes mommy. But mommy does not like daddy. Mom doesn’t want daddy to come to Florida, when she was born daddy decided to stay here and mom decided to go to Florida.
Neither parent says the other parent is bad. “Dad doesn’t tell the whole story.”
