Basic of the Agency The name of the agency that I visited is Eva Rothwell Centre. The million statements of Eva Rothwell Centre are to provide a stable and supportive environment that enables personal development in partnerships and programming. The vision of Eva Rothwell Centre is working today to created a better tomorrow by committed to building and maintaining relationships. The values are that we are accessible and inclusive by sharing their knowledge and resources. We are partners and collaborators by acting with integrity. We provide leadership and guidance. We are accountable and transparent. This agency had associations with many different community members such as United Way, McMaster University, Jumpstart, Inner City Outreach Ministry …show more content…
The number of children and adults varies it changes everyday because the agency allows children and adult to come and go whenever they please. The CYC is not allowed to keep anyone against there will. Everyone that enters the centre must sign there selves in at the front desk for security purposes. Children with special needs attend this this agency it is also wheelchair accessible. There are different rooms the first room is the game room which prominently the teenage boys and girls ages eight and above spend most of the time this room includes three play station consoles and TVs, a pool table, a ping pong table, and board games this room also includes computers games and computer programs for home work help. There is an art room that includes many different things for arts and craft including paper, glue, paint, and markers. This room also included a pool table and computers. The kids room that houses the children is a little mix between all of the rooms it includes art, computers, a tv, dress up clothes, toys. There was a fully stocked kitchen that provides a breakfast program Monday to Friday and also provides a small snack to all their children in the after-school program. The senior center provides a small breakfast and a full lunch. There is also a small library that people can take books home and return them after they are finished reading. There is also a fully stocked music room that has instruments this room isn’t open all the time only when they have a specific program happening. They have a community clothing room that they take clothes donations for all ages they also take food donations and give it out to the community for free. All of these rooms are supervised by the two afternoon CYWs and the two SSW that volunteer during the
