His question is in the patient's best interest would it be better to treat the depression or disorder or die often in deep depression? People who are suffering from mental suffering and are wishing to die are unable to make a cool or rational decision in fact studies show 93-94% of those attempting suicide are suffering from an identifiable mental disorder which is obviously making it impossible to think logically so if mental health euthanasia became more widely spread it would be assumed that people with suicidal thoughts are mentally stable enough to make decisions. This is the confusing part for regular euthanasia you need to be in a stable state of mind which means it is impossible for people with mental illnesses to make these decisions and by those means are not in the right mind to make the decision to be euthanized and therefore should not be allowed to be euthanized. Another point against mental health euthanasia is because people suffering with mental illnesses are in a fragile state of mind they will be able to be easily manipulated and taken advantage of, which means they could easily be manipulated into applying for euthanasia because they feel worthless and don't want to have to be a burden to others around
