Euthanasia is the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease. Assisted suicide is the suicide of a patient suffering from an incurable disease, effected by taking a lethal drug provided by a doctor. I agree with both the practice of euthanasia and assisted suicide and feel that this decision should be made by the individual. The individual should have to end their own life your to free themselves from the pain and misery of their terminal disease. There are many different methods of euthanasia such as drugs or injections, passive euthanasia, gases and plastic bag. This evident in the cases of Valentina Maureira and Brittany Maynard. Valentina Maureira was a 14 year old girl from Chile who was suffering from terminal cystic fibrosis. Her brother dies from this disease at the young age of six. This young girl gained Global attention when she create a video and posted it on Facebook asking the President of Chile to allow her to have a shot that would on her word “allow me to sleep forever”. Cystic fibrosis can causes excruciating pain and causes severe damage to the digestive system and lungs making it difficult and painful to breath.
