In the United States, however, euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide are only legal in a handful of states. The states that allow euthanasia and/or physician-assisted suicide are Washington, California, Vermont, a portion of Mexico, Oregon, and now an ongoing debate in Montana. The sympathy I have for people who find themselves wanting to end their lives because of how miserable they are is tremendous. However, I still do not think it should be permissible to end your life, even if it means you can end your suffering. In 2 Corinthians 12:10, Paul talks about suffering for the Kingdom of Heaven when he says, “For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” I believe this verse come into play very strong in situations where people are tempted to take on the action of euthanasia or physician-assisted suicide because it is encouragement that even in pain and suffering people are still strong in
