3. The colonization of the Americas by Europeans brought more than just conflict from different cultures. We actually have the Europeans to thank for many of the basic amenities in food that we have today. When Europeans traveled to the Americas, they brought many things with them, like food and livestock. Some examples of the food brought here by travelers include wheat, grapes, and coffee beans. Then, once they came back to Europe, they brought some foods natives had but Europeans didn’t have home with them.
