Introduction
Attention Getter: Guardian Angels are lovely in stories, but I’ve been blessed to have one of the strongest people I know watching over me.
Thesis: Today I will be talking about my Grandmother Ma June who has always been a significant part of my life.
Preview: During this speech I’ll elaborate on who she is, the time I’ve spent with her, and the lessons she’s taught me.

Body
Ma June is a lovely person, and has been a vital source of strength and wisdom for my family and me over the past few years.
My Grandmother lives a very peaceful life in Florida.
She lives on 5 acres in Wimauma, FL, and most of my family lives near her.
She’s retired now, in her early 60’s, and spends a lot of time tending to her garden, reading, meditating, and having

Transition: Over the course of spending so much time with Ma June I’ve learned countless lessons.
Her and all of the lessons she has to teach have played a huge role in my overall outlook on life.
I’m a buddhist which stems from her as well, and a main part of that philosophy is the understanding of suffering.
It is not pointless; it’s meant to be a tool through which we learn and learn to empathize.
Learning from her and talking with her has helped me to understand a lot of things and come to terms with them.
Another important thing I have learned from her is the understanding of was peace is and how to maintain it.
One of the tougher lessons I’ve learned it you have to swallow pride and make sacrifices for the better good for the whole family.
I’ve also learned when to bite my tongue, remain empathic, and still put my best foot forward.

Conclusion
Review: In the world we live in today it truly is a miracle to have someone watch out for you.
Restate Thesis: My grandmother is an incredible person who has spent countless hours with me and taught me some incredibly important lessons.

My mother was a nurse. I’ve watched her leave at late hours in the night, early mornings, and afternoons. She ran herself to death by working to pay the bills in our house, organize amazing trips to take together , clean, and through all of that she had to find time to sleep. But, she choose to run herself because she was that compassionate about her job. She loved the feeling of helping others get better and not only did she love it, she was one of the best at it.…

Today I am going to talk, in very abridged form, a little bit about my experience of getting to know the amazing person who goes by the name of Cecilia Bernard, and what I have learned about her over the past three years of knowing her, which was both a fortunate and unfortunate event. Fortunate, obviously, because I got to meet her and see everything great about her. Unfortunate, though, as it took me as long as it did to meet her. What I first learned about her is that she was very open and inviting. I found this out on the way to New Orleans.…

Thank you Uncle Alan and Auntie Rumi for honoring me with the opportunity of saying a few words today. In one of Walt Whitman’s poems (a personal favorite of mine that I was thinking of over my plane ride here) O Me, O Life, he wrote: “That you are here—that life exists and identity, That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.” The verse Noelle contributed in this powerful play during her time with us was unconditional love and happiness.…

I went in not knowing what it was about, but after completing the course and by doing the final project I learned so much. It was a hard to think about how much work will have to be put in and I didn 't think it 'll interest me but I was wrong.…

The most valued lesson I got from this was to appreciate every moment and the memories you get to make with your family. These are the only things that will be kept after they are gone forever. Also I believe that if you don’t value this kind of small stuff that in reality means a lot then you are not really living life to the fullest. Appreciation towards my family will be something I show to them from now until GOD decides that it’s time to leave this earth. I believe that GOD has a plan for everyone in this life and once we accomplish that plan he wants us back with him.…

Mother Teresa – A Living Saint Mother Teresa, in a statement she made, really best described herself when she said “Some people come in your life as blessings. Some come in your life as lessons” (Mother). She has indeed been a lesson for all of us to learn from, she inspired the world. Mother Teresa inspired the world through her works of mercy, every day she lived her life following the spiritual and corporal works of mercy, the model that Jesus gave us on how we should treat others. God was the center of her existence and her expression of love in all that she did became her main focus, she believed and lived her life under the guidance that God is love.…
