I grew up in a Christian household so I heard about Jesus but never knew him. I never wanted to get a chance to know him. I would go to church and hear about how great Jesus is and the many things that he can do. When I came here to Fayetteville Christian School in fourth grade, I had no other choice but to learn about Jesus. I didn’t know anything about him and the feeling of sitting in a class while the teacher is talking about someone I didn’t know but heard of was coarse. There I started to learn Bible verses but still never felt like I really knew who Jesus was. All I was taught was that Jesus loves you and you should love Jesus. In today’s world people don’t ask you “who do you think Jesus is?” They already expect you to know who he is …show more content…
Especially Pontius Pilate, who was the Rome persecutor in Judea. He did not like it when he heard people say that Jesus was the king of Jews or the Messiah. Pontius Pilate had his men to investigate on what was going on with Jesus. Judas went to the chief priest and asked for something in exchange. The priest offered him 30 pieces of silver for Jesus. Judas gave in and told them where Jesus was. Jesus and the twelve disciples came into Jerusalem to have the Passover meal. He ate the meal and then declared to them that one of them will betray him. All of the disciples were shocked at the fact the Jesus said that one of them would betray him. It was heartbreaking when they received this news because they all loved and respected Him very much. Then after Jesus and the disciples then traveled to Gethsemane. Peter and two other men went with Jesus to go and pray. In the night Judas and then men came to arrest Jesus. Once the high priest told his men to seize Jesus, Peter didn’t not like that. So Peter took the sword from one of the men and cut off his ear. All the men were astonished at what Peter had done. Jesus then touches the man’s ear and heals him as if his ear was never cut off. After fixing his ear they arrest Jesus and take him to the high priest. Then after Pontius let the people decide what should be Jesus’s punishment. The people all said “crucify him!” Jesus was then instructed to leave. His punishment would to be flogged and crucified. I believe the soldiers mocked and tortured Him. Made a crown of thorns and placed it on his head. They even gave him a robe to wear just to mock Him, then took it back. After they proceeded with the crucifixion, they had Jesus carry his own cross while whipping him if he stopped or went slow. The people on the side watching gave Jesus some water to drink as he was carrying his cross. When He finally
