My brother and I have been asking for a dog ever since I was a few years old. Itwas like a dream. Every Christmas, and every birthday we would have some hope. Every single time I ask I would regret it because whenever they say no, I would feel solemn. My parents and my grandparents who live with us would always deny it saying it is too much work. They would say that we would never take of it.I would even think in my head about what breed and name I would choose. Bulldog? Shitzu-tzu? Maltese? There was so many I liked. Then its was Mother's day when that dream came to real life. On Mother’s day 2015 my brother asked my parents one more time with no hope. It was a black labradoodle. She sent me pictures and I was so happy. When I came home they said we could not get that puppy since it was sold, but after a few days we found the perfect one. She was a two month Goldendoodle in South Carolina. When I saw her I knew that she was the one that fit our family. We called the owner and made all the requirements that the puppy needed. We soon got her food, collar, leash, and toys. Then we waited. My dad said we would pick her up On June 5 ,2015. When he said that I was so surprised. June 5th is my birthday. Getting her on my birthday was the best present.I felt like this adventure was getting better and better.We had some names running through our heads like Puki, Daisy, and Happy. Thinking for about a week we chose Happy because we knew that she would always brighten up our day. The day were getting her I had to go to school. The school day felt so long. I felt like the day was in slow-motion. When I finally got home I ate a snack. After I ate, me, my brother ,Matthew and my Dad left to an airport in Virginia. I was jumping off the walls in the car. I couldn't stop smiling, glancing at Happy’s collar.We arrived after about an hour and thirty minutes. Going through the doors of the pet cargo I was shaking. The workers were really nice.
