Eulogy For Husband

When I was young we ran through fields and swam in lakes. We cared for each other. Although, then I couldn’t see past your nose and the pride you wore on your shoulder, I now know the man behind the mask. The bravery and feelings you never shared until death, the love behind my husband's letters and what I believed was his depth, I know as yours. The truth, of the man who believed he lived free until the grave.

If only I had seen sooner the love in your eyes and noticed the despise in mine. But a shallow mined does not deserve such beauty and grace, I wish only I had learn the truth before our goodbye. For physical beauty only lasts until death but, a beautiful mind is the reason people love, and today to see if the person behind the eyes is really gone is almost too much to bear. Creating memories is one of the most beautiful and happy moments for an individual especially if those moments are with their loved ones. Although memories can last forever, people do not live forever. Anything can happen today, tomorrow or the day after, but the real question is how can an individual endure the pain of a lost one? In "Passed On" by Erin Belieu, the author reveals that even if an individual loses a loved one, the precious memories that they have created will remain with them forever and happiness will overtake their sadness; thus, creates an important theme towards the poem using symbolism and figurative imagery.…

    Analysis Of Adios Amor

Throughout my lifetime, there has been moments of laughter as well as grief. But a moment in my life that was pivotal was when I first felt the love of my life, at the moment, fade away slowly from me and sort of detach from our relationship. The song by Christian Nodal- “Adios Amor” showed me how at times when the love fades between partners to the point where there is no love at all, you have to do your best to move on rather than spending time grieving the love that is lost. Therefore, the song “Adios Amor” gave me the tough realization that some relationships are best to let go of if they don’t work as a young adult, and will continue to guide me throughout my life.…

Strange what a man thinks about in his last moments when his vision blurs and goes dark and he feels like he’s a million miles from where he is. I shut my eyes and let the cold embrace of eternal sleep wash over me as I thought about what a funny thing pride was and how at least I gave ‘em a good…

In December of 2009, my family and I encounter a very difficult time, the sudden death of the smallest member of the family. Even though doctors had said that he would not live to be very old, we had the hope that a miracle would happen. Till this day we feel that we could have done more for him, but no one knows what going to happen I live. This poem makes me feel a little at peace that my little brother that is no longer here could reflect on his time being around us and be happy. Even though half of his life he had to spend it in a hospital, he always had a smile on his face that brighten everyone 's day.…

Beloved congregation, good morning and a warm welcome to everyone here today. I would like to begin this service by deeply thanking every single one of you for coming to pay tribute to my most special son, Edgar Sawtelle. Losing a child is a parent’s worst nightmare, especially when that child made such a huge impact in an unbelievably short amount of time in every single being’s life that he encountered, whether that life belonged to a human or animal. Edgar had so much more to give with an overpowering confidence and the potential needed to make a difference in this cruel world. Now, standing here in front of you all, it is undeniably hard for me to put into words the overwhelming grief that I am feeling, as my worst nightmare has devastatingly come true.…

Humanity stays under the impression that all good things must end, however the power of love defies this logic. Love is an eternal presence. Even after heartbreak, love never truly fades away. True, many interpret love differently, however its existence is constant even long after its ending. Dan and Shay’s song, “Summer of 19 You and Me”, differs from Lord Byron’s poem, “When We Two Parted”, in rhetorical elements and both poems express separate romantic situations.…

    Fed Love Narrative

    • 213 Words
    • 1 Pages

I have been fed love since before I was mature enough to know better,
Before my body had curves and before my words
Had complexity
Dips and gaps and awkward pauses,
Before all of that, when I used to kiss my pillow and pray,
Oh, please, won’t someone someday adore me?
Then my chest budded like tulips during the spring,
I scribbled the sentences within romance films all on my wrists,
I turned my head at just the right degree,
Grinned in the right lighting.
But my world came crashing down,
lt was a tragedy without all of the drama-
 That tragedy was me.…

Erotic, emotionally raw, and enticingly lyrical, “A Challenge to a Lover Who Has Offended Her” examines the violent rage and scathing pain one experiences in the absence of a lover and the aftermath of an ended relationship. The conclusion of an intimate affiliation, particularly one filled with romance and affection, is often accompanied with a nearly indescribable amount of grief, regret, shame, and fury. Numerous memories are repeated in one’s memory, with the scenes studied with an intensely focus and determination to find fault with the former partner, or within oneself. Logic is replaced with emotion, and levelheadedness is exchanged for questioning.…
