My mom got sicker and sicker as the months went on. Lilly was still confused about what was happening, even when you try and explain she still thinks that it's “just a cold”. I graduate high school in a month and that's the last thing thats on my mind right now. Since my dad is now “out of the picture” I take care of my mom making sure she’s taking all her medicine and making sure she’s okay, high school really isn't on my mind. So I decided to visit my dad to wherever he went to talk to him and ask him some serious questions about my mom. I figure he would be at his friend's house down the street but he wasn't. “ He bought a place of his own, here i'll give you the address” one of his “homies” that i don't even know his name said. But he wouldn’t just leave because of my mom getting sick, what else happened?. Then by surprise i get a call from my mom “oh no” I whispered. It was Lilly she cried into the phone, “ YOU NEED TO COME HOME NOW MOM COUGHED UP BLOOD AND I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO!” I panicked “ Um is she still breathing?” “Did you call 911?” Then my dad looked up and said “Come on son lets get in the car and go help her” I was in shock, the guy who left my mother because she got sick wants to go help her now? Driving down the road with my mom is possibly the best feeling in the world. The music blasting as smiles spread across our faces and we fill the air with our horrible singing voices. Today was different than all the other car rides with my mom, a shorter distance is what made it different, we were driving down the bumpy alley way onto the smooth road to make our way to the Middle School, but we made a quick stop to grab coffee. Today was the day that we depart for the Cedar Point trip; an amusement park with Roller Coasters hundreds of feet in the air, some built over water, some built straight up with twists and turns. That day was supposed to be amazing, the sky was clear; only a few clouds to be seen, but they were the pretty clouds,…

It was a beautiful Sunday morning, my two children and I were sitting in the front pew, as we often do, watching my charismatic husband give another wonderful sermon. My gorgeous daughter, Mia, was sitting on my right, attentively hanging off of each of her father’s words. She is a true Daddy’s little girl, you would think at thirteen years old she would have out grown her infatuation with her father, but nope; she is still his little sweet heart. My dashing son, Zach, was sitting on my left. He isn’t much interested in church these days; I guess at sixteen other things become much more important than silly old church.…
