Grandpa Samuel and Grandma Dorothy were born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Grandpa was born in 1930, and grandma Dorothy Isabela Violet in 1926. Grandpa had no middle name and Grandma had two. I don’t know how that happened. During the days of my grandpa’s youth, World War II was being fought during the years of 1939 to 1945.…

Till yesterday, I was under the impression that our Dad is alive but somewhere far away. But... being in the fifth year, I accepted the real fact with heavy heart. It is really painful. When he was alive, I used to fight and argue with him, not listening to him. How irony is it that, when he is not here, I’m trying to live exactly how you told me to.…
“This is what I most admire about Father: no matter how bad things might get, he eventually will find the grace to compose himself. Some people find him overly stern and frightening, but that is only because he was gifted with such keen judgment and purity of heart. He has been singled out for a life of trail, as Jesus was. Being always the first to spot flaws and transgressions, it falls upon Father to deliver penance. Yet he is always ready to acknowledge the potential salvation that resides in a sinner’s heart.…
About two decades ago, you held me in a half-nelson and dragged me to your home to teach me some manners. I had wanted blue suede shoes so badly that I had tried to snatch your purse. You told me to never steal again, and gave me ten dollars to buy the shoes I wanted so badly. I should have contacted you sooner, because I needed to give you a proper thank you.…
This is a tribute is to my uncle Dominic who died April 20th, 2012. My uncle was 43 years old before he passed away, he was auto mechanic at the time. Cars were his passion, he loved all kinds of cars, but there was one car he always in mind. This was his dream car and he always told me how one day he would save up enough to buy it. Sadly, he never got to save up enough money to afford it, his family were going through financial struggles and he always put his family before anything else.…
From playing catch with me, teaching me how to ride a bike, so many boat rides with me telling him to go faster as grandma is telling him to slow down, but we don't listen as we ride that boat as fast as we can, laughing with big waves splashing us and laughing until our stomachs hurt and grandma is mad because we got her boat wet. From going really fast down the highway jamming out to music singing to ‘Word Up’ as loud as we can and countless shopping sprees and crazy moments with my Grandma. Those right there are some of the best things in my life. Countless memories with the guy in my life that has taught me how to be the better person and treat everyone with respect no matter how they treat you, I don't know one person that doesn't like my grandpa. He knows how to use a hammer and nails let me tell you.…
(Lyons gets up from his seat, unfolds a small piece of paper with trembling fingers, and looks up at the crowd with tears in his eyes.) Lyons: I’m really honored to give an eulogy at my father Troy Maxon’s funeral. A few years ago, I would never believe that one day I would voluntarily praise my father, let alone write an eulogy for him. You see, my father and I didn’t have the most harmonious and loving father-son relationship.…

I miss you! When I met Mary-Ann I became a pretty lucky person because I knew I had the one of the best Aunts ever. Mary-Ann, who was born with down-syndrome, never let the disease stop her from reaching her goals. Mary-Ann was a wonderful person, who always cared for others before herself.…
Today, August 30th, I went to a baby shoppe. I only spent fifty dollars on diapers and baby food. Just some last minute baby things to be prepared. After all we are expecting to get him in a week or two. One month ago we welcomed my baby boy to the world.…

Goob is a minimalist, he enjoys small neat spaces. He eventually created a living space so small, it only fit himself and a few of his belongings. Goob came up with an amazing trick. Taking advantage of his regenerative abilities, he would detach his body parts until he has just his head, torso and his right arm. therefore carrying out a great idea for a prank, and being able to satisfy his desires.…
There’s always a particular point in our life if we start to question our feelings, nights if we’re lying during sexual intercourse thinking time for that amazing night in the Black Keys concert, or way you finish each other’s sentences and possess inside jokes who else understands. Confusing love with friendship isn’t uncommon. However,…
Losing a friend or a loved one can be hard for anyone, especially when losing a best friend at the age of thirteen. Losing a friend at that age can be heartbreaking. I understood what had happened, but trying to comprehend the “why,” was something that I could not figure out. Daniel was one of those friends who would always be on your side no matter the situation. He was a caring and genuine person.…
