“Growing directly out of evolutionary idea the eugenics movement was founded in England in the 1870’s”. The term Eugenics was first utilized and explained by Francis Galton when he wrote the book titled Inquires into Human Faculty in 1883. Galton in his book explained his work on hereditary. The work Galton was describing in his book was to help educate the science fields the variation of human race in aspects such as: skin tone, hair color, intellectual quotient, energy, and twins. “The study of the agencies under social control that may improve or impair the racial qualities of future generations either physically or mentally”. This quote from Galton’s book briefly explains what he believes needs to be rectified in the human race. There are humans that have what is considered to be superior traits and others with inferior traits. Galton goes on to explain “superior hereditary lines tend to be diluted by crossing with inferior lines, and that human offspring tends to be more like the average between their parental strains than like either parent.” This alone goes to show how he believed people should be more mindful of who they choose as a partner. “Coupled with his knowledge that
