In Early modern France, orientalism referred to the interaction between modern France with the orient. The church of Rome had the first attempt to learn about orientalism life, which was used to help the Dominicans Christian attraction in the Islamic lands. As for the first orientalism school was formed in Tunis in the late 12th and 13th. Moving on, the study of the orient culture was gradually changed from religious view to a Royal patronage. As for the Ottoman Empire visited France after the alliance with Francis, which lead to Orientalism art. One of the most important oriental artist in the European period was Eugene Delacroix he stepped out of the exotic scenes and alien world to produce more interesting and exciting work such as 'liberty leading the people' where he illustrated the dark city life reality. Orientalism art was mostly illustrated by French artists which they pictured this mind illusion of sheiks and women. As well as, the oriental movement showcased design, style and motifs. Although the orientalist description wasn't completely right, they took those images and descriptions while observing the culture even though they couldn’t have possibly known what goes in inside the harem. Yet they just wanted it to be colorful and exotic images of their trip to the orient world, so they can give the people who have not traveled to the east a picture of what they might see one day. Another artist who influenced the orientalism movement was Juan-Leon Delacroix; unlike Eugene Delacroix he traveled to turkey, Egypt, North Africa and the holy land (mecca), which he spent more time discovering them. His images were illustrated with more realistic figure poses. Furthermore, one of Juan-Leon’s best works was 'The draught player'. Unlike any other French artist which made a whole excitement world out of the orient from depicting harems and women, Britain artists on the other hand where grabbed by anything to do with Egypt, the images were more of desert scenes and local colors.
