Reggie trudged along, weighed down by the overnight bag and purse that she had looped across her body. She was dragging both of her large wheeled suitcases behind her. She took a deep breath of the cold air and shook her head. This was some next level weirdness, and she kept praying she would wake up from this crazy dream. She had been walking through the woods for the past two days, her supply of protein bars was growing thin, and she was exhausted. She recalled one of her last conversations with her son, who was studying Physics at the University. They had laughed

Ms. Easley was born April 23, 1933 in Birmingham, Alabama, where she completed grade school and high school. Fifth grade through high school, she attended a parochial school , and had planned to study nursing that was because her mother instilled that into her, but during high school became interested in learning to be a pharmacist. Being an older child in a family does not always have its benefits. Sometimes it puts you at a disadvantage when having younger brothers/sisters. Your parents might let them get away with more than they ever let you get away with, or they might even take up for them more than they would you. Having your parents and relatives take up for them in times that you know they should be either upset or disappointed in them might make you try to point it out to them. It would create an internal battle with your emotions for your brother/sister and your parents and relatives.…

Long ago and once upon a time, there lived a princess. Her name was Oriana, and her entire court loved her. She always helped those in need and had a smile for everyone. In the textbook on page 61 it is stated that “Our ever-alert brain attempts to make sense of the activity, pasting the random bits of information into a meaningful image.” After reading this sentence I was immediately reminded of a friend of mine who I will refer to as Katie in this assignment. Some time ago she spoke to me of an unusual and mysterious dream that she had the night before. She explained that her dream began with her and the whole neighborhood being locked inside their houses by fear from some type of monster that was roaming the neighborhood. After she dreamt this, the scene changed into an empty road with a kitten in the middle of the road.…

When she caught her breath again, she trekked cautiously as she did not want the man to find her. When she was deep in the forest she took a break, as she thought she was safe. Many hours of walking had worn her out, so she decided to take a nap. What she did not know was that the ‘man’ was a wolf and had followed her scent. The wolf hid behind a tree, thinking of all the possible ways to kill her.…

The minutes turned to hours as Jimin twisted his mind to reveal even the smallest details and ideas about what he could use Yoongi for. First off was his initial plan, revolving around manipulation, just as his lifestyle did as well. He could also play the game of innocence, pretending to essentially become the personal therapist of Yoongi and let him vent out all of his life's secrets after gaining the man's trust. For now though, he'd stick to winging whatever plan could develop after the odd turn of events. Sleep was minimal on the first night.…

TASK 1 : ESSAY Discuss the application of relevant theories of literary criticism in the selected text. Literary criticism from my point of view can be defined as the art or practice of judging and commenting on the qualities and characteristics of various literary works. Modern critics tend to pass down the concerns of earlier centuries, such as formal categories or the place of moral or aesthetic value. Some analyse texts as self-contained entities, in segregation from external factors, while others discuss them in terms of spheres such as biography, history, Marxism or even feminism. As the time passes by, the concepts of meaning and authorship have been explored and questioned through many aspects such as structuralism, post-structuralism,…

The ocean stretched in an endless horizon; it was the most spectacular sight, while the first tear drop allowed the rest to create a stream. With tears rushing down my face, I could not do anything but sit across the crawling waves drenching the sand. I reached out for the golden sand and sifted a handful of small worthless stones through the gaps of each finger. The droplets of salty water stung my wounds in my bloody barefoot, as the waves slithered its way up. The pain was numbed by the exhaustion, acting as my anesthesia.…
