Eti-Personal Narrative

Improved Essays
I am sorry that I missed your cal'ls today. Im not long home with Eti in bed.

I spoke with Sally Glossop today and she advised me to keep Eti out of school untill after half term. She thought that it would cause far to much anxiety to come to school at a time like this. I must say that I do agree with her and so would anyone else that is working with Eti on a mental/ medical level.

I know you need your attendence numbers up and you need to keep ofsted happy but I must put Eti first.

As you know Eti is a very anxious boy but school is where most of his anxiesties stem from. I never have such big issues with Eti at home when he is not at school. He is usually calm, happy and not so anxious.

If Eti comes to school has a bad day then it will be impossible for me to take him to someone to look after so I can then go to the hospital to see my mum. His after school melt downs can last for several hours at times.

My mum is in the Royal Free hospital in London. I am there from 1.30 - 8.30

By the time I collect Eti its 9.45pm. By the time he is home is bed its usually 10.45 or so.

When Eti goes to bed at this time there is no way he would cope with going to school. He is usually an emotional mess with late nights the following day. He usually has a set bed time and sleep routine ans is sleep no later than 8pm.

Once my mum moves to a normal ward which I hope will happen next week if all goes well. Then maybe Eti can come into school for the mornings. I could collect him at lunch time take him to who ever can take care of him and go to the hospital till 6 so I can then get back in time to bring him home and put him to bed at a reasonable time, so he is then able to come into school in the morning.

If you can think of a better plan then do let me know.

I am undertaking this project, as I am interested in exploring the social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEB) of children. I want to know how the resources and strategies can affect pupils’ learning and behaviour. As identified by Macdonald (2009) in Department of Education (DfE) (2010) this area is a key issue related to young children’s personal development that help them achieve the skills which will improve their outcome in future life. My focus research study point will be on SEN (Special Educational Needs) Reception aged pupils aged 4-5 in Key Stage 1 (KS1) in ST school with mild cognitive difficulties and to have a greater insight into understanding their social and emotional difficulties. With regards to my few years experience, working on a one- to-…

My assessment is a formative assessment, to see how well the students have picked up on the ideas that the ending sound of a word (rime) is the base for creating rhyming words. Since this is the first lesson on onset, rime, and rhyming words giving them a formative assessment would be difficult especially since it is the end of the day, and they may not be entirely focused on their work. I choose to do such an assessment because it allows for immediate feedback from the teacher to the student, and it also allows for the teacher to question and try to understand how a student is coming up with answers if s/he is struggling. This conversation and immediate feedback allows for creating positive relationships with each student, being able to…
