Ethnohealth Family Interview
On August 7, 1962, my mother, Jami Collier was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She had two younger twin sisters and no brothers. Her mother was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma which is not too far from where my mother grew up. She grew up in Schulter, Oklahoma and that is still where my grandmother resides.
Ethnic Background The United States is the country of origin for my mother and grandmother. My mother is Methodist, and grandmother is Baptist. There are three generations in the United States – mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. My great-grandmothers’ mother and father are both from France, so the generation started in the U.S. with my great-grandmother.
