A simple example of ethnocentrism is that there is no fresh meat in the United States. What I mean by fresh is that in China people are able to buy meat of animals that are killed instantly after the buyers are going to buy. In Spokane, there is no live poultry market so I have to buy refrigerated food. Chinese think refrigerated meat is not so tasty as fresh meat and they say the quality of fresh meat is different from that of refrigerated meat.
