Ethics begins with the determination of right versus wrong. It can be described as a standard at which people live at in order to justify their actions. Morals are a segment of ethics but hold a role in determining what is and what is not ethical. Throughout the books Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer and Wild by Cheryl Strayed, the notion of ethics being challenged by two independent individuals arises. These literary examples display an influential attempt of very strong will people who are trying to achieve creating their own way in life because of external factors, all while disregarding the ethical standards in life. The disconnect and withdrawal of communication with family and friends contributed to the difficulties faced on their journey.
